The Rebuild

blah blah downswing etc, Im moving down to NL50. my goal is to make $1k before i move back up to get my confidence back (tilt br=4k), and so i can be over rolled for NL100. Oh and never play RUSH again!

Done nearly 6k hands so far. And im doing pretty well, over 10bb/100. and im below EV for once! Did a big session this morning and there were alot of donks on for some reason but i only finished $50 up.

won a 180bb deep pot all in pre w QQ. had a note "MANIAC". he had 9Ts lol.

this was just brutal. his stats were 90/10

here i have a great spot for a hero call. but fold cause im a huge pussy :( wat the hell does this guy have? the third guy in the pot was huge fish.

that tilted me...

oh and i got a spot in some 30k freeroll tomorow from raketherake, preying for run good

ok so now im off to the casino. gota make up for my last weekend of no poker!

as an update here is my graph. pretty obvious where the RUSH started lol. looooove rakeback

EDIT:
went to the casino. had some run good :D was wearing my lucky shirt. hit like 4 sets, 1 which got a full $150 stack and the others medium pots. also hit some good top pairs and got good value. made some realy good laydowns too.

layed down AJ on a JTxxx board to a third barrel on the river, he had flopped a set.
layed down AQ on A95Jx to a river bet by the pf raiser of $50 into like $250. he showed AJ. couple others like that. guess they dont seem that amazing but saving $50 when your beat on a few rivers really adds up.

Ended up +$400. never even got a pair higher than JJ either.

Poker

Havent been playing too much serious poker lately. Done alot of donking around at lower stakes playing omaha mostley. I havent brought the HUD yet so was just playing RUSH. Prob played bout 10-20k hands and have been break even. Duno wat my EV looks like.

Hadnt played all weekend, and was too busy to go to the casino, so decided today i would put in a good effort. Then i made the worst decision of my life. Put $400 on Pacific Poker to get Omaha Manager bonus for free. this site had the most tilting software i could imagin. couldnt play more than 4 tables cause it was just so shit. unclear betting, no prompt when a window needs action etc etc. luckily they have some deal where u get $100 instantly when u sign up. so i lost like $50 in an hour or so, then just cashed out my $400 and lost the bonus cause i hadnt earned enough points. Now im just guna buy omaha manager when the money comes back lol.

i wanted to get back on track so i did a 1k session of 50NL. went well and i made 3 buyins. had a pretty kool but small hand. just had a great read on an agressive reg to my left and got him to bluff me, made a pretty nice call i tihnk. he was agressive so i thought no way does he not bet flop when checked to if he had a flush draw. doesnt seem so exciting when i view it now, but felt kool at the time!

then i loaded up some rush omaha and lost $150 at 25NL. not really sure how that happened lol. everything is so fast in rush its like a blur.

on a final note i downloaded like 10gig of omaha vids so im watching them and they r pretty helpful. once i get omaha manager hud going i plan to give omaha a pretty good crack on the normal tables.

Casino Omaha

Had a real long session, like 8 hours i think of omaha. i really wanted to go to bed but the table was rediculously juicey and if only i could hit the nuts....Everyone playes 90% of hands its insane, 2 pair is a perfectly acceptable stack off no matter how deep to these ppl, along with chasing non nut flushes and crappy straight draws. i was seriously so card dead the whole night. 8 hours and not 1 set or the nuts. AA a couple times but its pretty shit hand wen the whole table is calling no matter what, and about 3 connected hands (789T) that missed.

2nd orbit i get AAT4 suited clubs UTG+1. I call the straddle of $6, hoping someone raises late position and i can just pot it and get it in. well this fails wen the whole table called.
flop K93 with the club draw. some guy bets $25 and i reraise to $75. he calls. turn was a blank and i should of just checked behind cause i guess he is never folding. i didnt really get the table dynamics at the time. i shove and he calls with K9xx for top two. it holds.
Now i knew i had a good hand but i could have played it more passive for sure. i put it into a odds calculator and it was exactly 50/50 on he flop so i guess i just lost a flip really.
-$200

next 5 hours i basically do nothing and maintain my stack.

saw a crazy hand. some friendly but terrible reg was by me and he luckboxed to like a $600 stack. a metro asian w sun glasses, who i had played b4 and was pretty descent was over $1k deep. these two clashed in an epically bad hand.
standard $12 preflop raise.
flop QJT rainbow. old tight asian bets pot $75, bad reg calls- metro asian raises pot and CLEARLY has AK. old asian folds (had 2pair) and bad reg gets in his $600 stack. he had middle set! "what could i do, i knew he had AK but i had so many outs" exclaims the bad reg as he curses his luck. was awesome

had a funny hand. i got AAKx double suited UTG+1 again and came in for pot ($7). ~6 called and then the BB min raises, so i re-pot to $60 or so jsut to take it down or get heads up, 4 CALLERS!!! im like omg this is rediculous, of course i miss the rainbow flop and someone gets a 2 pair on 752. when he shows his hands its like the worst unconnected hand i can imagine. i didnt c-bet, just check folded but it still hurt lol.

i do win 1 medium hand for like +$100 with flopped top two with some straight redraw.
flop JTx, i have like JTK9 i tihnk. pot the flop anyway, a station old man calls.
turn was a Q giving me the second nut straight but i was 80% sure im good cause this guy sucks. we get it in and he has QQxx.

final hand had me get top two on JQx, with a similar hand to before, get it in on the flop and im against the A high flush draw but with no pair or straight draw. he hits it :(

saw about a $1200 or more pot with 3 all ins set of aces, bottom set and a flush straight draw combo. was pretty awesome.

for me though it was a pretty dissapointing -$370 night, if you can hit some hands in this game some huge money is to be made. the metro asian was hitting some good hands and his stack was over $2k. he wasnt even very smart, but he was better than everyone else and they all paid off his 2 pairs with god knows what. 1 dude who is a reg must have rebought over $1k and would call it off with top pair. was awesome to watch really. the table was full till 4am which is apparently a rearity. alot of donks came and sat down to play too. so wana go back next week - im becoming an addict, was there till 4am ffs

i also played like 5k hands i estimate of rush omaha online. i dont have a hud so playing statless in rush is less of a problem, and i dont think stats matter that mush in omaha compared to holem. + ppl are alot worse at omaha so i can wait for the nuts or draws to the nuts that crush there worse draws etc. i made about 3 buyins in the session but have no way of tracking it atm as i have no holdem manager for omaha which is real annoying. god i want to know what my ev is cause i took some sick beats. an interesting fact i didnt knw was even if you have the best wrap straight draw (20 outs) you are a 60:40 dog to a naked flush draw. thats crazy. so dont overplay a wrap on a flush board i guess. i also avoid set mining with anything less than JJ as set over set is kinda common. need to play more hands though - could have just been running hot. also lost a few hands "learning the hard way" that having a set on a connected board is not good.
had a great hand though:
sb limped to me and i check with a crap hand but a suited ace. flop the flush draw and i pot flop and turn, hit on the river and pot it, he min raises - i pot it again and he shoves with the K high flush. o omaha

Another trip to the casino

Was at an OK table all night. Arrived at 8 and stayed till 1am. first 30mins i got a bunch of good hands and won on the flop or turn, gave me a bit of an agressive image for the rest of the night.

Then i dwindled down to $100 including my extra $50, reloaded and got AK on the button. everyone called the $4 straddle and i make it $25. cold call from the blinds and all fold.
Flop was J52, all clubs. I check behind. Player is a reg i guess but asian (so a calling station).
Turn is another low club. Checked to me and i have the A club, which i see after i look at my cards. He may have seen this as a sign of weakness with me taking a look and then checking. He had about $100 behind. Flop pairs the board but im not worried. He donks $30, i shove and he tank calls with QQ, clubs :D.

then some guy i recognise sits at the table for $150. i raise utg to $13 w AA, 2 callers.
Flop Jxx, i c-bet and new guy calls. turn is a 9 and he check raises me all in. I call and he has KK. Go me...

played a hand real bad. call a small raise from the button after the fish sb calls w 45 suited.
flop T45, button c-bets, fish calls and i had motioned to call before the fish acted so i couldnt raise. must have got a bit excited. me and button were deep though so i was just planning to call him down head up, forgot about fish.
turn T45A, button bets again, fish calls and i call. he bets again on the button and all i could think about was AT for him to play it so strong.
river was a blank and fish shoved $65, i wanted to call but the button was yet to act and really didnt want a reraise so i folded the best hand :( Button had KT and fish an A

had a fairly standard hand verse this fat guy but he went on a 10 minute rant about how bad i was after which was awesome. i kept bating him too, "yes it was nice of u to call on the river" etc.

raise A7 unopened in cuttoff and we r 6handed. blinds call.
flop Q44 and i c-bet - fat guy calls.
turn Q44A - fat guy donks $20 and i just call, i think a raise is too risky as we r deep and he prob folds most hands i beat.
river a blank, "ill let u bet this one" he says so i oblige with $45. he calls with QJ. i asked him what he thought i had but he was too busy having a heart attack to make any sense.

I also played like 800 hands of omaha on my stars account, 10NL. made 2 buyins :D and it was pretty fun so i might start playing it a bit more. 100NL is too stressful at the moment. that 100 year old woman was playing at the omaha table again tonight and she had a huge stack. i she actually good?

i might go to casino again tomorow if i got nothing to do. made $170* tonight which isnt too bad i guess. i lost $70 in my last hand to that fat guy as i had the nut flush draw on a 3TK out of position. i didnt want to check raise as we both had about $500 and i didnt think he would fold any pair to me ever. i definately should have just raised the flop looking back. instead i just check called and folded to river bet, he showed 44 and was VERY pleased with his bluff.
