Had a real long session, like 8 hours i think of omaha. i really wanted to go to bed but the table was rediculously juicey and if only i could hit the nuts....Everyone playes 90% of hands its insane, 2 pair is a perfectly acceptable stack off no matter how deep to these ppl, along with chasing non nut flushes and crappy straight draws. i was seriously so card dead the whole night. 8 hours and not 1 set or the nuts. AA a couple times but its pretty shit hand wen the whole table is calling no matter what, and about 3 connected hands (789T) that missed.
2nd orbit i get AAT4 suited clubs UTG+1. I call the straddle of $6, hoping someone raises late position and i can just pot it and get it in. well this fails wen the whole table called.
flop K93 with the club draw. some guy bets $25 and i reraise to $75. he calls. turn was a blank and i should of just checked behind cause i guess he is never folding. i didnt really get the table dynamics at the time. i shove and he calls with K9xx for top two. it holds.
Now i knew i had a good hand but i could have played it more passive for sure. i put it into a odds calculator and it was exactly 50/50 on he flop so i guess i just lost a flip really.
-$200
next 5 hours i basically do nothing and maintain my stack.
saw a crazy hand. some friendly but terrible reg was by me and he luckboxed to like a $600 stack. a metro asian w sun glasses, who i had played b4 and was pretty descent was over $1k deep. these two clashed in an epically bad hand.
standard $12 preflop raise.
flop QJT rainbow. old tight asian bets pot $75, bad reg calls- metro asian raises pot and CLEARLY has AK. old asian folds (had 2pair) and bad reg gets in his $600 stack. he had middle set! "what could i do, i knew he had AK but i had so many outs" exclaims the bad reg as he curses his luck. was awesome
had a funny hand. i got AAKx double suited UTG+1 again and came in for pot ($7). ~6 called and then the BB min raises, so i re-pot to $60 or so jsut to take it down or get heads up, 4 CALLERS!!! im like omg this is rediculous, of course i miss the rainbow flop and someone gets a 2 pair on 752. when he shows his hands its like the worst unconnected hand i can imagine. i didnt c-bet, just check folded but it still hurt lol.
i do win 1 medium hand for like +$100 with flopped top two with some straight redraw.
flop JTx, i have like JTK9 i tihnk. pot the flop anyway, a station old man calls.
turn was a Q giving me the second nut straight but i was 80% sure im good cause this guy sucks. we get it in and he has QQxx.
final hand had me get top two on JQx, with a similar hand to before, get it in on the flop and im against the A high flush draw but with no pair or straight draw. he hits it :(
saw about a $1200 or more pot with 3 all ins set of aces, bottom set and a flush straight draw combo. was pretty awesome.
for me though it was a pretty dissapointing -$370 night, if you can hit some hands in this game some huge money is to be made. the metro asian was hitting some good hands and his stack was over $2k. he wasnt even very smart, but he was better than everyone else and they all paid off his 2 pairs with god knows what. 1 dude who is a reg must have rebought over $1k and would call it off with top pair. was awesome to watch really. the table was full till 4am which is apparently a rearity. alot of donks came and sat down to play too. so wana go back next week - im becoming an addict, was there till 4am ffs
i also played like 5k hands i estimate of rush omaha online. i dont have a hud so playing statless in rush is less of a problem, and i dont think stats matter
that mush in omaha compared to holem. + ppl are alot worse at omaha so i can wait for the nuts or draws to the nuts that crush there worse draws etc. i made about 3 buyins in the session but have no way of tracking it atm as i have no holdem manager for omaha which is real annoying. god i want to know what my ev is cause i took some sick beats. an interesting fact i didnt knw was even if you have the best wrap straight draw (20 outs) you are a 60:40 dog to a naked flush draw. thats crazy. so dont overplay a wrap on a flush board i guess. i also avoid set mining with anything less than JJ as set over set is kinda common. need to play more hands though - could have just been running hot. also lost a few hands "learning the hard way" that having a set on a connected board is not good.
had a great hand though:
sb limped to me and i check with a crap hand but a suited ace. flop the flush draw and i pot flop and turn, hit on the river and pot it, he min raises - i pot it again and he shoves with the K high flush. o omaha
