live pokers

been out for a while. but played a sweet game the other day and got the taste for poker again. woo!

first day was the pokersoc torney. hit a set second hand omg. hand goes like this:
call w 44 on btn 3 way.
flop Q46. he bets i raise.
turn Q463. i bet big pot is 8k both have 6k behind.
river Q4632. gay 4 straight bu i think he has a queen so bet 1k.
he check raises me instantly all in. nooooooooo
i fold cause he must have it right? no he flips AA and says good fold. yes he thought AA was so strong he did the old pop em on the river. fml could have doubled up second hand...

ok busted that torney but won $80 in the cash game after so all good. won a big pot verse remi after i flop top pair in a 3bet pot T9x i have KT he has QJ. then won a big one verse his mate whos name i always forget. limp pot 2pair. check flop first to act. utg bets, friend calls, i raise, friend ships. obvious draw always wen that happens cause he would never flat a strong hand (board was super drawy).

ok lukes home game and i run like a god (as usual i know). i get a good image going at the start. bluff 72 all in verse luke AK and hit my 7 owch. bunch of big hands, im playing pretty loose short handed. a new guy to lukes left starts to call me constantly. i 3bet pre. ship low flop he snaps me with AJ, i have AK. we split tho. had a couple other hands like that.

favourite hand goes like this:
standard raise a few callers and i call cutoff w 52s. luke raises to $13 after 6ppl were in. i think everyone calls haha.
flop K94 rainbow. checked around.
turn K943. i have straight flush draw. new guy bets out small $30 into $75, i dont want to raise cause i checked behind flop i cant rep much i think. plus this guy wont fold to me i tihnk. hayden calls behind. im certain he has a flush draw too which is gay. he even says "please club!" and ive seen him do this several times and he doesnt lie.... great tell but anyway
river K943J. miss the draw. i think if its checked to me im shoving cause the new guy must be weak to bet 30 then check. so i shove all in its like $150 to call. hayden snap folds obviously. new guy thinks but folds 66 aparently. honestly im not repping much doing this play, KJ was what im going for i guess. i would not do this with a pair only. but these players are fairley average so i can get away with plays like this. wouldnt try that play on eamonn for example. polarised range and its hard to have better than a pair the way o played it etc. show the bluff bam it was awesome.

also hit trips verse the new guy. get it all in on 988 verse his 9T. ummm a big hand verse dev. sitting with devto my right makes for an easy game haha. wen hes on my left i have to play so tight cause he is in every pot. goes like this
see a standard flop 3Q7 or something i have A3 for pair + nut flush. i cbet only dev follows. turn bricks low. he donks into me which i know he does with weak pairs and draws. so obv raise here, dev will fold to me he knows im a nit cause he rails every hand i play. i raise to $50 and he calls. river brings a beautiful flush. he donks all in i call. he has J high flush owch. $300 pot to me.

finally a hand verse andy. he 3bets and i call behind someone else with 78s. we all r deep. low flop 78x. i check and ahh checked around. turn a beautiful K. i check cause i tihnk andy is capable of repping a K, or quite likely has one. bad player calls behind andy so i check raise. now i make a mistake. i chek raise too small. i think it went cbet 12 call i make it 35. yukk. anyway is doesnt set up river well for me. river makes it 78xK9 no flush. i tank for ages he has 100 behind pot is 100. do i bet 40? if he reraises me its pretty gross. i guess i should have bet like 60. i shove him and he tank folds his AK. the problem was i didnt think any worse hand would call me wen i shoved. and i guess i was right. ahh well. if i had bet turn bigger it was easier shove...

finish cashing out for $595 after buying in for $150. sweet night to get me loving poker again.

online has been going pretty shit. i played a few rare sessions but havent been winning. rush has ruined online poker for me i find normal 6max sooo boring and i cant beat rush ahhh what a dilema. getting a laptop soon, so im guna try gind low stakes every night on the couch instead of watching tv or watever so it still looks like im joining in with the flat. genious? 50NL rush here i come.

oh and while im whining. ah the US dollar is so weak! $0.78 wtf ill never get my money off full tilt. remember the good ol days of $0.55 conversion. what happened??! god my blogs r a ramble.......
