Biggest NL50 hand yet and its a sicko. table was fairly tight and i was about to leave so i opened kinda loose to steal the blinds. hit a 2 pair and get check raised. i think if i reraise all ahnds would fold except mayb AK so i flat thinking his most likely range is bluffs. when he check shoves the turn i think he has the flush draw and is going for max fold equity. if i had AK id fold and that is what it would look like i had. but nooooo he flips TT for the turned set. fml...
dam so tilted im stopping for a while.

3 betting
i been trying to play much more agressive, notmally id fold hands like KJ AT 89s etc out of the blinds, especially if there was only a single late raiser, mainly because i see no value in these hands out of position - i either hit my KJ pair and win a small cbet or lose a big pot to AK or hit middle pair and fold the turn. Now ive just been 3betting them all, as long as the oponent looks like he could be just opening light to steal. thinking of all the times i open crap hands from the button and fold to a raise shows how often they would do it too. i have had varying success, but on the most part it seems to work well, furthermore i felt like it caused people to get pissed off with me and bluff me more postflop or call me down light. a lego poker video i watched today recommended some other video which talks alot about 3 betting so im guna watch that and see what it has to say. i think there is alot of money to be made by restealing late raises, or just plain taking the initiative in hands where a cbet in a 3bet pot gets alot of respect.
another sweet move ive never really used before is the tank call. say i flop a great hand like top set where i crush the board , id tank call the flop and it cause people to go crazy bluffing. here is an example. i tank called the flop and turn and trapped this guy:
in this one i 3bet from the blinds as i had been doing, and here the guy decides to take a stand and 4 bets me. i tank call his 4bet as i feel he is bluffing here nearly always. if he thinks im stealing light he would call with a big hand and try and get max value. by tank calling the flop he must think i have TT 99 or 88. because he turns a pair of Jacks and bets for value lol...he was a regular so its not like he was just a monkey clicking buttons.
my last hand is an example of a tough spot i sometimes found myself in. here i had no idea what the hell he had so i just folded. but i dont like not knowing whats going on so this hand annoyed me.
hopefully watching some more of these videos will be helpful. the ones i watched seemed pretty standard, and i even felt like they wernt doing some things right. the best one was watching a guy go through his hand history in a big tornament. i never realised how too tight i played in these things. he constantly stole blinds and kept his stack healthy. was pretty impressive.
Bankroll hasnt changed since yesterday....

more poker
yep, up to 11k hands at NL50. been going pretty good. not many kool hands to show really...

graph looks nice after a bit of an early mis-step. ive doubled my initial $600 deposit on the 14 November. pretty good hourly rate seeing as i havent even played that many long sessions. in total ive played 33 hours since then. although i am making no plans of moving up to NL100 any time soon, i wana spend a bit of time watching videos and trying new ideas at a limit that i feel comfortable at. even losing a $50 buyin hurts too much sometimes.
Tilt: $1260 (+$350)
Stars: $222.96
Total: $1833
Total gain since 15 Nov= $430
im thinking im ahead of luke by now. lucky we didnt count casino winnings!

lol casino
not such a good night at the office. lost $400 at the casino.
Hand 1: AK utg
riase $10, 1 caller
flop: AT9, i stack off $100 to his T9
Hand 2: 22 mid
donk raise utg, i call, multi way pot
flop: 245
he bets again, i call but no one else does.
turn: 245T
he bets , i raise all in......he shows TT set over set!
Hand 3: JJ early
raise $10 new guy who just posted shoves...
call and race AK, he hits a K
hand 4: AQ button
donk from earlier raises early as he was doing alot. i 3bet his $7 to $25, calls
flop: 763 all diamonds
i c-bet quite big, he just calls and i have $30 left...
turn:7632 three to flush still
he donks $30 into like $120. i fell like i MUST be drawing dead, he has a flush, straight or at least some crap pair. so i fold with my last $30. he shows A8! was chasing the 8 high flush and donked into me with the worst draw ever. so tilted....
So that was my night. pretty sucky
casino roll: -$350
good news is online is going well. my total bankroll is $1040 + $350 + $220 = $1610

Took a Shot
What a crazy session. Broke my record for the largest online pot 4 times. Pretty much all to one giant fish. probably the best fish ive seen online yet...
Started at 50NL. Seanpratt24 spewed nearly $300 away to the table. unfortunately i got none of it, due to him 'coolering' me several times. An example of his badness was him stacking off to me on a 97629 board, where i flopped the straight T8 and he had K6! Then he hit 2pair on a J72 board with his 72 to stack my AJ. Finally my turned set gave him a gutshot straight in another hand where i stacked off to... But after losing all his and my money back to other ppl at the table he decided to recoup his losses as all fish do, by moving up. He sits down at a 200NL table and of course i have to follow him.....
hand 1: Here i flop the effective nuts but get scared by the turn and call him down, $155 pot shipped my way.
Hand 2: now i get to lose my biggest ever pot, talk about a cooler - especially against this guy. I thought he would just have an Ace...
Hand 3: Revenge is mine with a $264 pot. I probably should have gotten more and just shipped the river, he would have called for sure...
Unfortunately after that he sat out and left. i finished up +100 from him which was sweet. Before all this i had my biggest NL50 pot. Easy game when you set over set someone...
Now im back in the positives, and most likely the lead in the bet. Casino tomorow and LAN tonight to keep me busy. Havent heard back from my job interview so i assume i missed it. Means i can keep living the dream of a bum.

...
Small session today. Made some moeny back though. Even though i got set over set twice *spew*.
Genious play, or foolish noobness?
Villan was a tough reg, had been 3bet battling him for a while. SB was a HUGE fish.
He raises button and fish calls, i 3bet - hoping he folds and fish calls so i can stack him easily. he then 4bets. Now his range here is AA KK QQ JJ AK AQ AIR. I discount AA or KK, these hands are powerful enough to call me and see a flop with hopefully the fish in position. I think he would think about that. Same with QQ but he may 4bet this with our history. AK and AQ are likely as he would feel ahead of my blind steal range, and wouldnt want to just call and miss a flop. Also he could easily be bluffing as ive restolen a couple times.
So i call w JJ, on a low board i feel i would be ahead, and this keeps his bluffs in and i dont have to flip AK AQ. Flop is low, he c-bet half pot and i just call incase he wants to bluff rest of stack. I could have stuck it in here but nothing worse calls i guess. he flips AQ and i win a sweet hand.
Of course i could be overthinking this and just got lucky.....
Tilt: $740 (+$350)

Total gain for the month= -$90
Got like $45 of rakeback too which comes through at end of each week i think. And now im off to a LAN for the night
