Sunday Home Game

had a good day playing live poker on sunday. i wasnt guna go cause i was planning to grind online for a whole day but tim needed me to get 6ppl so i went which was ok cause i was -800 in ev by that point and was probly tilting. anyway luke wasnt there for ages and it was under 6 handed so i could play pretty loose. had some sweet hands.

first big hand chewy limps utg along with one other (5-6 handed), i raise 50c to $3.50 with KQ and just chewy calls. A55 and i cbet, he raises so i think he full of shit obviously cause he cant have a good Ace and i doubt he calls $3 with 56s or something like that. so i thought he had like 44 or something and was doing a bad bluff. feeling heated up by my incredible read i go all in not realising he has bout $70 left. he calls with Q5s lol! i guess i cant really put him on crap liek that but i should have raised to $30 then i could have folded if he called.

next mint hand was 2 hands later and i have a fresh 100 stack. time raises a limper and i call with KTs from the sb. 3 way to a Txx flop and tim cbets so i call. turn brings a J with a flush draw and he bets again. i think i have a tell although its not completely proven but anyway he did it here wen he bet $27 so i called again. blank on the river but brings b/d flush so it xxTJx 3 clubs and he goes all in for 60-70 dollars more (about pot). i tank for way too long lol. after wat seems like forever i make the call. i would be very surprised if he has AA KK here (he plays too weak on the river to value bet them like this he would bet small afraid of TJ or a set) and my range looks weak so he would surely bet less. i think he can only have TT JJ or AK/AQ of clubs to play this strongly and maybe he jsut isnt thinking im weak and is shoving hoping to get called. but that is such a narrow range i think he is making a play so thats y i called. he had AKo for A high and i scoope a big one with second pair 200bbs lol owned.

i won about 6 hands with 72 by 3betting or just baraling and lost once where i think chewy had top set. one hand i 3bet someone and marco calls, luke 4bets and i think he is full of shit as usual but just call cause i think it will look stronger than a raise like i have JJ QQ or something. marco calls aswell though and the flop is Qxx. i check so does marco and luke has clearly given up the hand. i bet a 7 turn now hoping to steal it and i prob have the best hand cause i hit a pair lol. marco calls and i think he has a descent hand so im guna give up cause marco doesnt like folding, luke folds. river brings another 7 so i bet big like $40 and marco calls with AQ verse my trip 7s $110 pot with 72 so juicey.

big red made his usual suicide play after i get QQ and there was a straddle on and i have the button so i prob look to be stealing. shoves me with T6.

shick trys to make a play at me. he does notice wen ur 3betting alot and plays back but he seems to do it at stupid times or calls ur 3bet w bad hands and just burns money. in this hand i 3bet a junkey bb hand wen he opens from cutoff and sb had called. he calls me and flop is K8x. i cbet and he raises me. now here he is representing a set or AA cause the K is obv hitting me hard. he would reraise AK cause he was clearly annoyed at my 3bets by this point. so i shove him and he insta folds and makes the classic "now i know where i stand in the hand" comment. i show him my air cause i want him to try again.

he trys again a bit later on. i have JJ and 3bet him from the button. him and luke call. QJx i cbet both call. luke has to have a draw to overcall like that cause shick is pretty tight so i doubt he calls thinking his hand is better than both of ours but not good enough to raise. ie only one hand in AQ would play it like that. so anyway turn is a super blank and i bet kinda big to commit shick to going all in or folding. he goes all in which forces out luke luckily. i dont see his hand but was prob AQ AJ or something. luke would have stacked me on the river. luke cries cause im a nit and get payed of like that but he didnt see that i was playing super agressive b4 he got there. i cant play like that with luke there is is the only person who plays back well. i really love the quote from that blog i posted the other day "play just crazy enough to make ppl think ur a maniac". im obviously kinda tight but i 3bet the button often, always try steal if there is a double straddle, show down 72 all the time etc... ppl just remember that and forget that i 99% have the best hand wen they call my 3 barals. only luke seems to get what im doing but he calls me down alot too :)

another biggish hand i had verse luke. i open utg 8 handed or so and he 3bets after marco and chewy had called. i quickly 4bet to try look bluffy and cause luke knows im ment to look strong raising utg so could easily try a 4bet bluff here. he calls and c-raises all in on QTx. this was actually pretty gay cause i thought he had slow played his AA or had called the 4bet w QQ so i didnt really like it but called. i think he had AQ but i held.

another big hand involving luke i think i 3bet him on the button w AK and marco called in bb, luke then 4bets and we both have huge stacks so i didnt really wana 5bet. so i called hoping marco comes along and i spike an A or K + i think luke will give up his bluffs quite often. marco then shoves and luke folds. its obvious marco has a pair like JJ or down or AK aswell so i call his $80 shove after ive invested $20. we run it twice but i lose both to TT. i like that me and luke have such an agro image going that ppl r fine to shove over us 3betting and 4betting with TT 200bb deep. chewy tryed to trap us once, i 3bet w 72 and chewy cold calls w KK, luke 4bets me but quite small and i just gave up my 72 this time cause i didnt wana call w chewy behind and i thought he might hav 4bet small to induce a bluff. turns out chewy calls and has KK hits a set wins moneys etc.

ok thats enough typing. +200 for the day but most importantly caught hands verse luke :D then went to watch the ufc119 and it was one of the best ones ive watched where anderson silva takes a beating for 5 rounds then wins with a triangle choke in the last 30 seconds. everyone went nuts. had a box seat at the all blacks on sat night through some customers which also ruled. pity i didnt drop in at the casino after cause aparently ma'a nonu went to play poker and was a huge whale at the 5/5 game! did finish sat night off at a quiet party instead + watched the warriors win again to stay in the top 8. oh and fri night had an old skool call of duty lan which was alot of fun. so in summary i had an amazing weekend but barley any online poker was played :(

phenom day on sunday. im thinking rush torneys will be my strat...i have an account on like every site so cant exactly start a new one which is annoying lol
