ah its blog time

long time no blog i guess. not much has been happening on the poker front. last month (NOV) was a dud. was kinda sick for a couple weeks at the start so didnt play any hands. since then have been majorly distracted by various things. basically thought if my head wasnt in the game im not playing cause thats when you lose... i think it was a good desicion but thats alot of time lost. have a month holiday coming up after xmas and plan to get right back into it. thankfully the games are probably softer over the holiday season which will help. might go back to 100NL for a bit though. my black card status is nearly run out but should be able to super grind it back i hope. will admit ive lost my poker passion a bit lately but its probly half cause i havent been running great, coupled with the rakeback hit i took which was a super downer. determined to get back on the grind though. start watching some videos again and all that good stuff.

so i think ive been playing for over a year now. was around this time last year me and luke had a bet to make the most in one month which is what got me into the grind mindset. in one year to get to 200NL is a good achievment but if i wasnt so lazy im sure i could have done alot better. got plenty of things to work on my game though so can only improve. all going to plan i make some good cash over the holiday grind and decide to play poker for a living. but i think the chances of that being a sensible idea are low. have so much great stuff planned next year though will see how my mindset is. might try set some good goals soon.

finally here is last 14 months of grind. was playing a fairly steady 40hours a month there for the majority but it really declined lately. hopefully im more motivated next year!


cut it short cause i have to go out but thats the jist of it! totally lost count of my live earnings but its probly about break even over the last 6odd weeks. still loving the home game though. need to start remembering interesting hands again and blogging straight after haha.

    Hey chris its phillip just got onto this blog thing. Just wondering two things where do you watch your poker videos? And if i was going to start playing holdem or omaha heads up what type of bank roll managemwnt should i use i now it for ring and limit games just a bit confused for heads up.

    sup philip. watch them at cardrunners. might cost u to become a memeber though.
    u playing 50NL heads up? heads up would be alot more swingy than ring so id wana double the number of buyins. i used 20 buyin bankroll strategy until 100NL if that helps. after that 40-50 buyins.
    make sure u play comfortable and dont move up till at least 50k hands of proven winning. is the most important thing!

    Ur sick. Always amazes me. Ur graph has character. What way up does ur grid go? I guess latest month at top? U should post more on your holiday grind. And good luck.

    Yo Phillip, BLOG! and yeah go 2 cardrunners or leggo poker or deuces cracked. Get Holdem Manager as well. Either grind out a membership, or just buy it. Its definitely worth it. And Listen to the phenom, play heaps of hands withen ur bankroll. And grind. Dont expect to win a buy in everytime. Just be happy with rakeback (get rackback!!!!!), or winning anything.
