played good last night but was rediculously card dead and only got one big pair (JJ) all night which was cracked of course. missed every flop blah blah whine whine. only ended the night down 100 cause i did some sweet moves.
first bog pot i had JJ and repopped some limpers. 2 fish call and flop is all low. some guy leads weak and other fish calls, i reraise to like 50. 2nd fish calls. turn beings in a gutshot draw and checking behind was prob best but i only have like 80 left in a big pot so i shove the rest but he hit the straight...
same guy and i repop him with TT few hands later. Q99 and i c-bet cause he will call with overs, gutties flush draw etc. turn is a Q99Q so i check behind for pot control as not much worse is calling now. river Q99Q9 he checks so i bet 3/4pot and he calls hoping to split hehe
soon i have KQ and i repop the guy AGAIN. some maori dude calls me in position and me and him tyake it heads up. 557 flop and i cbet he insta calls. 557J i bet again cause i have a rediculously tight image and he was "OK" player. he pretty much insta calls again. i think he has a draw or pair like 88 99. if he had a 5 id expect a raise by now cause im repping a likely big hand. river brings an Ace (557JA). i think for a little and shove it. i think this is the perfect bluff card, ppl are so scared of an Ace. he instantly startes counting his chips and goes to throw them in but he is looking for a tell lol. tanks for AGES and mucks. whew
not long after that i open 77 and get 2 callers, both tight internet looks guys (young and fat with headphones). QQ4 and i cbet just looking to take it down or have the best hand. internet guy in position raises me 2.5X my bet. i dont think he would raise with a Q on such a dry board in position so i shove. he calls with a flush draw but i hold.
finish down $100. could have been worse. table was soft. one hand went utg raise, utg+1 3bet, cutoff cold 4bet, then a guy on the button tanks cold calls JTs. he sees a flop with the 4better and hits top 2 verse his Aces haha. the guy asks why would u call and no shit he said "i had to, look they are even suited"
really wanted to go back in tonight but am going to be busy. my second monitor broke so i cant get on the grind :( ill come in sunday to rail luke hopefully and play a bit. go luke!

good game last night
another homegame. 7 handed most of the night. i decided to play a bit less loose tonight and try to win. also do some odd moves so i can be less predictable. it worked good, pretty much cause i hit some sweet hands. another thing is i was guna open for less money every hand cause i had been openeing for $2 - $2.50 which wasnt working out good with the crap i was playing cause i love calling 3bets. luke also had the same strat tonight and it made it hard to 3bet him kinda. i like this strat although luke took it to the extreme with constant min raising lol.
first hand of the night and like last week i double up. 3 handed with me luke and tim. i open button and both call obviously. low flop and i have a flush draw and two overs. i think my hand is so strong i chose to check behind and play it tricky. bam turn brings my flush and completes tims straight. we get it in cause there is like no way i have a flush here after i dont cbet in position. worked out rediculously lucky for me.
another big hand happened soon and this was my favourite cause i stacked luke. AJs and i raise button and he calls. he donks out Jxx flop and i have top pair top kicker and nut flush. i just call cause he is most likely bluffing and will prob rep the flush if it comes. he could have a straight draw but i have that cruched really. plus if the flush comes i can get paid off like last time. he bets big on another low card and i call again. river brings 4 to a straight and my flush and he bets again and i shove the rest in and he calls. tehehe
stack tim again. i have 55 and am only caller from the bb. AJ5 with a flush draw and i check raise $3 to $13. he calls. AJ5J and i bet out kinda weak cause i think this card would not have helped tim. he shoves alot more and i insta call. he has KK??? said he put me on an A. ship it
i also 3 barraled luke on a K high board with AK, near pot each street and i bet fast to look bluffy. he looked me up with what i assume was a terrible hand from his expression after the hand haha.
only big pot i lost was to a fishy guy who hit a set verse my 2pair. bit of a cooler.
$180 up for the night. luke finished down a heap. sam lost money but was up in ev after tim called his all in and hit a 3 outter. owch. time was down like $200 but made a late comback to be even i think. good ol dev donated some stacks to the table. sams mate bluffed $100 or more into tim who had a boat. i think it was a really bad bluff lol but he was on tilt for some reason. he 3bet, then 3 barreled xJTTx when all the draws missed on the river. when tim called the turn i was sure he had JJ, turns out he had JT but close enough. tim played it good. a new guy also finished up $200 or so after he hit the set verse me and flopped a flush verse Dev.
in online news i only played like 2 hours last weekend, but made $200. i quit when my AA got sucked out on verse QQ all in pf. for some reason it really pissed me off cause it was verse this dipshit reg so i just decided to stop for the day then played golf all sunday. br is lookin goooooood...

Small home game
another home game. was played mostly 5 handed which was awesome. i lost $140 which wasnt awesome haha. my memory is fairley crap but here is what i remember.
first hand and i suck out on luke which rocked. i had KTs and he 3bet me and we r 3 handed, im in sb i guess cause i was oop. i call and flop is a dry king high. im like its the first hand so im going with this one, even if i lose it will be hillarious. so i shove turn cause luke bet and left me with like $20 and to be honest i thought i was behind but i was really badly crushed when he flipped his better kicker and flush draw, but o well suckout!
then i had my favourite hand verse big red. he raised and it was 4way to the flop, i completed $1 in the bb with T2s. flop is like 259 or something raggy and i have a pair and flush draw. big red c-bets and i raise of course. he insta raises me but its pretty small. such a huge tell when he insta raises i seen him do i several times so im really happy to shove my $100. he calls pretty quick cause im sure it looked like im on a draw but flips the 72 so i have him crushed big time. even if he thinks im on a draw at best he is 50% verse my overs and flush so i really dont like this call lol. big red doesnt like me playing back at him though thats for sure.
i have a huge stack but get way too loose, like calling with nothing to try bluff the turn when its probly not a good idea and stuff. and i probly value bet too thin cause i hat checking behind to win the pot and eneded up value owning myself several times. i lost a lame pot to luke where he bluffed me good, i have 98 and we are on a flop of 356 rainbow. luke cbets and i rase his $7 to $20. everyone thought this was really small for some reason but its basically 3X. i duno y but i was just convinced he was really weak. he calls and i pick up a flush draw on the turn and bet $30, he shoves pretty quick from heaps more. any pair and i would of insta called but i had 9 high ffs. i counted my outs and included my overs as being good lol but he had shoved so much it was a borderline call and i didnt want to look like a fool if his J high or something scoops a brick river. so i fold sigh
lost $100 to tim. hit 2 pair on a 3flush board and he reraised so i shoved, marginal play but i dont wana just call so it was fold or shove. maybe if i thought about it more i could have found a fold but its so hard to flop a flush and i wanted to gamble. tim could do this with a pair of Aces with the A of diamonds or straight up bluff.
i got JJ oop verse tim and just called in the sb. he cbets Qxx and i call. A on the turn and he bets big. i think he bluffs here alot but could also have a weak A or Q whiich he would bet anyway 'to take it down' as they say. so i think i can rep a huge hand and just turn my JJ into a bluff and he mucks pretty quick. the only monster he can likely have is AQ. maybe AK it would be a tough call even then. plus its a live home game, no one gets good hands.
actually my most exciting hand was one which never happened! i have 33 on the button and time raises lukes limp to $3. i dont wana set mine for $3 cause he probly has a shit hand, so i go for the easy 3bet to take it down no contest. bloody sam folds AQ in the bb and tim folds AJ. and i do something i never do. i look at what the flop was. god dam i hit my set on an A high flop, turn brings trip A for both players! would have got in verse tim on the turn guaranteed and maybe sam. then sam would have sucked out with a Q on the river. man that hand would have been epic.
um wat else, i bluffed tim off top pair. i had 8T and cbet an A8x flop in position, he reraises and i re-reraise him. he does this with weak A all the time for some reason. then wen u fold he shows and says I PUT U ON QQ. its the weirdest thing but anyway he folds his A rag. another thing about tim. if i had just called behind and tryed to bluff turn or something he would call cause he just thinks it looks weak, maybe he doesnt understand pot control which is what id do if i had AK. a good example was another hand we played. im oop with 89 and flop is 952 all clubs or similar to that. i check call and a club lower than the 9 comes on turn. i check call again thinking im good. A hits on the river and i just know this hit him. so i turn my hand into a bluff thinking i can so easily rep a medium flush here on the 4flush board. of course he snaps his pair of Aces and gives me some crap speech about how id raise turn if i had a flush. i would never do this deep without an A high flush but anyway...
some further tim badness (not to sound like im picking on tim but he does some crazy bad shit sometimes) was when he stacks off deep with AA again. i didnt see it but luke stacks him with a straight for like $150-$200 which is just stupid on tims part. anoyingly i get AA, i think it was after this hand and all 4 ppl call. then i bet fold a really bad QJ9 flush draw board or similar. now here i think a fold is right nearly every time after its 5 way and im almost definately crushed or flipping. tim laughed at me but mcuked quickly im sure he had me or at least had pair + draw type hand.
sam was playing shallow for most of the night which was annoying cause its hard to bluff him, but i did 4bet bluff him once with A4 and was going to have to call if he shoved but he didnt luckily. i nearly did it again with 72 but folded and the sb shows JJ and sam shows QQ lol. i didnt 3bet that much actually but i did bluff probably too much cause i was kinda card dead. i got AA twice but i folded that one before and another time everyone just folded pf to me which was really gay. oh my best hand was AK when i turned a straight and i played it too fast but i thought luke had a strong hand, turns out he had a pretty good one but made a nice fold.
one last hand i remember was the tripple straddle was on. tim opens for $10 and i 3bet him in position (j5o). i assume i have no respect here but i wanted to play this one hard cause i gave him no respect also. K high flop and im guna jam if he donks, but he just shoves 3X pot all in. good play i guess but it had to be the most obvious bluff/draw in the world and i had J high. god dam son
i think to sum up my night i played too loose and didnt have a hand when people got crazy on me to make my image pay off (except for when i had T2 lol). but i was still probly one of the funnest cash games i been to in a while cause there was just so much bluffing. even the old luke is back shoving his stack in like a mad man!

Holiday Poker
i wanted to put in some mad hours this long weekend to get a big score at NL100. still dont feel like im 'beating' the game. i didnt manage to play as much as i wanted but got in 12k hands which is nothing to laugh at. a grand total of $30 was made which was pretty crap. im a rakeback pro though so ill get like $300 on friday. lost the biggest pot of my online career to A high:
won a sweet pot. was distracted at another table so i accidentally donked out thinking i was c-betting. i got raised so i called thinking that he isi bluffing most of the time on this board. turn the nuts of course and he hits his hand. he is a reg who i have alot of hands on and he goes nuts at me for donk calling the flop.
played at a home game last week. most of the same crew but a few noobs came and lost their stacks very quickly. one girl put in $32 of here $40 buyin and then folded the last $8 on the turn holding 9T on a T877 board with 2 other guys in the pot. guy shows AA and we do the river to see her hit her outs ofcourse for the missed tripple up. i did the usual get off to a huge start and somehow lose it all at the end. getting tired is a lame excuse but i think the mix of tiredness and the play getting short handed to like 3 or 4 ppl (which i suck at) means i often lose alot. except for that night i hit every flop of course. i gota tighten up in at the end of the night i tihnk cause people start getting loose and calling my bluffs when we r all deep. and i did make some rediculous bluffs that got picked off. i actually liked them but people still called with really marginal hands anyway.
man i really gota play some hands on pacific poker so i can cash out that $400 i put on there. such a bastard deal they pulled on me.

Made a grand today...
had a massive session. i think ive been playing for 8 hours. started off rocky, -$400 but i recovered for my biggest score yet. played good, but more importantly ran good!
man there were alot of noobs on today. and i make a really big effort to table select. im constantly in the best queues and i think thats a huge element to winning. Biggest fish of the day award goes to this guy:
here is some run good. i had been 3betting the button a bit so i thought he was playing back at me with a small 4bet. so i made a marginal call in position to bluff it if he checked. of course im thinking way too much into the hand and he just has AA but that doesnt matter wen u got the run good baby:
booyah!

Home Games
Had two games going this week wich was wicked. both at a new spot in riccarton which is pretty nice setup.
first night went good. i must of had around $350 at my peak. i really dont remember any hands, but i was playing very loose and 3 betting the button/cutoff a descet amount. no one plays back at my 3bets and i pick up about 80% of them uncontested. but it sure pisses people off and they play more agressivly in other hands i feel. or call me light. can definately see the loose image paying off.
so the only hand i remember is i get AA and luke runner runners a straight after bluffing the flop. i really thought he was bluffing so went for max value by just calling his raise on a 924 flop or something, he checked behind turn with a draw which was pretty smart and i just couldnt fold the river even though i just knew he had hit some gay hand. then i went on pretty big tilt and lost most of my stack. -$90 for the night lol.
the next day went alot better! first couple of hours i made some moves, 3 betting and just stealing a few pots, got called a few times so im sitting on about $100 after a 40 rebuy. i 4bet bluff lukes straddle 3bet but he has AA lol - but i get to show the table to look like a maniac even though i think its a good spot to 4bet. i give luke props he is the only person who plays back at me and shoved me in a few spots and i had to fold my nothing. maybe i say too much in my blogs haha
A few people leave and we get to 5 or 6 handed. first big hand was verse sam who was some new fish. he 3bets my button open but its kinda small (everyone 3bets small for some reason) so i call with 67s with position. i know people will be playing back at me and 3betting light + i have position and can crack a big hand deep. so i like to call 3bets alot with position. anyway flop A74 he cbets pretty small and i just call. i have descent equity with backdoor draws, 2pairs or trips + my hand prob looks like an A, so if he is bluffing he will give the pot up. i turn a flush draw and he checks it to me. i check behind cause i saw him check turn with top set earlier and i dont want to get raised off my nice draw+pair. checking behind still looks like a pot control move with showdown so i can take it on the river if he checks. then i river a flush. he bets i shove, he calls. he rivered two pair with A3 wich was unlucky.
weird hand verse Tim. he 3bets me with position as he did a descent amount. i call with 55 i think even though im oop we r deep and i can bluff some boards. anyway i flop 348 or something. i call a cbet and we check check 348TJ. then he shows AT for the weakest played hand ive ever seen. i can only guess he was scared of me check raising him? i had been bluffing agressivly but still. actually i saw so much missed value from people. everyone is calling light but people check behind rivers with good hands. frenchy checked behind on K high board with AK verse sam after sam played it real weak which is just rediculous. says he gets value from nothing but is so wrong. everyone at this game is kinda descent so the profit will be by value betting thin. like i got some great value off luke on a T976x board with K9, i wana know what you called me with :) i will value bet luke REAL thin cause he is a jerk and calls me with A high
4 handed, i hit about 5 2pairs in a row to win medium pots. was insane. i win a descent pot when i flop bottom set 3way on 89Q and donk into liam the pf raiser. i didnt want him to check behind with the flush draw and straight draws + it would look fishy. he calls and i donk a blank turn for $20. he raises to $50 and i decide to just shove his last $70 cause i could get looked up light for sure but he folds.
then i 3bet liams button open with K4 from my straddle. he calls and flop is K48. i cbet $20 and he calls but thinks for a while. blank turn and i fire $40. tank call. blank river and i shove just under pot for his last $80-90. he tank calls with KT! tilting from the set hand verse me for sure. but i know he likes to do the hero call thing so i just went for the bet bet bet line.
3 handed and i have a monster stack. hit some more 2 pairs lol. i rase button to $2 and luke 3bets $7. this is WAY TOO SMALL LUKE. no way am i folding he has like $120-$150 and i have 75s and POSITION. even though you want a call with your AA its missing value and giving me great odds.i like a 3bet to $10 here but anyway. i hit the flop well 975 i think. he c-bets pot and i just call. if i try to get stacks in here i think he could find a fold + i wana let him bluff again if he has nothing and want to be a phenom. blank turn and he firse again $30. i shove for i think $80-90 more and he pretty much insta calls with AA. which is a fair enough call i suppose. run it twice but im on a huge heater so hold both times.
then luke rebuys which was obviously a bad idea lol. me him and frenchy play 3handed and i flop some more 2pairs i guess and we finish at 12. i think luke wins a flip with frenchy for like $60 which helps him get some money back. cash out for $700, or $560 up (1120 big blinds) which is a new record for our live game. what a sick night.
a note on 3betting cause luke says i bet too big. when im on the button or cutoff and 3bet a raise + call of $3.50 im always making it $15. first i usually have nothing and want a fold. second by bloating the pot in position if i get a call they are going to play very straightforward and check fold alot. blinds+straddle+2bets=$8.75 so my 3bet only has to work like 60% of the time to show an instant profit. and it definately works at least 80% of the time cause who wants to call $15 out of position verse and agressive player? if its guna be a 4bet bluff they need to make it at least $40 which is alot of money. this sets me up to win big pots verse people tilting i feel. if i make it smaller i think ill get more callers, or get bluffed. no one has 4bet me yet except you and you had AA both times! good people to 3bet r people like Amon, Tim, Liam cause they are tight but will still be opening a hand that cant stand a 3bet oop. Also if there is a raise and a call it makes so much more moeny in the pot to steal and it looks a bit stronger if you 3bet over 2ppl i think. finally i dont like stealing if im oop when called cause people are much more likely to call in position so i only really 3bet oop with a strong hand, but people dont know this so i get light calls cause they think im stealing again. now you will use this knowledge to own me but its alright cause i know you know and I will reverse own you ofcourse!

first night went good. i must of had around $350 at my peak. i really dont remember any hands, but i was playing very loose and 3 betting the button/cutoff a descet amount. no one plays back at my 3bets and i pick up about 80% of them uncontested. but it sure pisses people off and they play more agressivly in other hands i feel. or call me light. can definately see the loose image paying off.
so the only hand i remember is i get AA and luke runner runners a straight after bluffing the flop. i really thought he was bluffing so went for max value by just calling his raise on a 924 flop or something, he checked behind turn with a draw which was pretty smart and i just couldnt fold the river even though i just knew he had hit some gay hand. then i went on pretty big tilt and lost most of my stack.
