played a bit on the weekend but was down half a buyin. had a couple kool hands.
not a big pot but here i turn an overpair into a bluff on the river. im just calling pre and on the flop cause there is a fish in the blinds. by the time we get to the river i think he has AA KK or an 8. i can rep a T so well i think it was good to bet as a bluff cause pretty much no hands he has call me except a T. he tanked river and talked in chat so im pretty sure i had the worst hand. was just a different kinda play, so standard to just check behind there.

ok the hand replayer thing is down so i just post the whole thing like a noob...i got into the 'black card' club which needs an average of 500ftp per day over the last 100 days. now i earn double ftps at all times. they really rack up im up to 140k FTP. just guna keep saving and buy something massive one day.
had a fun home game the other night too. hadnt won for a while but cashed for $430 this time. had 3 main hands.
the first was verse luke surprise surprise. he 3bets an early raise after i had called from the bb so i call with ATs in position and kinda deep. flop a flush draw cause i run so good. Qxx. i didnt really wana raise cause i thought luke might get in in light here. so i call and hit a flush on the turn. he checks so i bet half pot and he shoves with something, i tihnk AQ. that was about $110 more to my stack.
Had a weird hand verse remi. he 3bet the button like he does so i 4bet him with Q9s. flop is Qxx. i think i have the best hand but dont wana get bluffed and its not like i can get 3 streets of value w Q9 oop. checking lets him bluff me too. so he bets flop pretty big, i call. ch/ch turn. i think he has nothing after he checks so i check the river when i hit trip Qs. he bets pretty small has about $40 left. i didnt think a worse hand would call so i just called. i really should have raised now i think about it. he thought i slow rolled him lol cause i took ages to think about it.
the last hand i get 72 and raise early. remis friend 3bets the button really small and we r super deep. so i dont think he has a good hand cause he should have made it bigger. plus i seen him do some abnormal bets when hes bluffing prob cause hes nervous. if he has a big hand i planned to bluff on a good board with so much money behind. amon called too. set minning for shizzle. flop bottom two ofcourse! 972 no flush draw. he cbets and i call still thinking he has nothing so no point in raising. turn is 972T bringing a flush draw. not such a great card for bottom 2 he could have got a set or better 2 pair but more importantly if i raise it looks scary and he might fold an overpair if he actually had a hand. so i smooth call again. river is a kinda bad card bringing pairing the ten 972TT and counterfitting my 2 pair. then he puts out a monster pot sized bet of $65. i was pretty sure i had him straight away but took a long time cause i wanted to think it through fully. i had seen him do some big bluffs before. he bet so big i doubt he does this with AA KK. the key is my range looks so weak playing it like i did, so hed only bet huge if he wanted a fold. of course he could be levling me and know i know this but i doubted that. plus as i tanked he sat there forzen, which is a slight universal tell for when someone is bluffing. all the signs pointed me towards a bluff so i called and was right. he had AK and had picked up a flush draw on the turn.
oh and one last hand. i complete bb w Q9 w luke raising and marco in pot. checked round low flop and turn is a queen. i check again cause i know luke cant resist a steal and he bets, marco calls so do i. river is a blank and i bet out cause i think luke prob bluffing and will check and i want value from marco. luke reraises me $10 to $40. i put him exactly on AQ or nothing how the hand went down. in hindsight i should shove me top pair here! he would have to fold for sure. next time luke....
also had a pokersoc torney with the standard last longer $50 bet. i donked out w about 15bb on KJx 3 way w KT when some guy min raised my cbet w KQ. guess i can fold there but meh prob fine either way. can never win these donkaments!

did some good grinding
after a lazy month, and inspired by last weeks run good i put in 10 hours this weekend for 5k hands and $700 profit. 500 below ev but still good. tagged so mny interesting hands but ill just post a few.
i think this guy played the hand pretty good but felt like he had many more draws than trip 9s so had to make a call down. he went nuts at me in chat which was fun.
shortly after this hand happens. this time there are no draws so i kinda have to give him credit. if he turns TT or something into a bluff and shoves river its a pretty sick play. JJ AQ KQ AA all beat me so i folded.
i played this hand baaaaad. i should have bet turn cause sets will call to draw to a boat and the person behind me was a fish. was thinking if i bet it would look obvious what i have. in hindsight im only getting one street of value verse a set anyway, so i should have bet turn to charge a boat draw + build pot verse lower flush. won the minimum...
i got confused here on the river and prob should have bet. didnt think he would be calling me so light so wanted to check call if he had a missed draw. still dont know what the best play was still pondering on this one.

hav hardly been playing cause ive been "busy". which basically means lazy. plus a new Halo came out and lans are so much less stressful than grinding!
have a pretty awesome graph this month tho. break even and then bam, $1500 over EV. twice got AA in on the turn verse a set and rivered the A. boy did it feel good! today i had a small session and won 4/4 flips. got set over set but won a big one with nut flush verse lower flush verse set.

have two mint hands. this first one i level some reg and set a sexy trap. flop top boat 4way and lead out weak. 2 regs in the pot and i think it will look like i have a med pair judging the preflop action. i hope someone makes a play. get a call and then the flush hits. i check to look like im scared of it + he might have it so ill let him think he has the best hand. check call then another high card on the river. if he puts me on a pair this is another high card to baral, so i go for the check raise. he bet calls top 2! crazy call by him, he must hav me on a bluff. any value hand i have he obviously loses. now if id gone for the usual chcek raise or call on the flop i would hav won a much smaller pot.
here is a descent calldown. his reg has a 15% 3bet steal stat which i used to narrow his range to all bluffs. he ch/raise the flop KT3 and he would definately 3bet any hand that hits that. AK KK TT 33. he can only really have draws or bluffs, maybe KT. good example of a reg not thinking about his own range and just assuming ill fold to heavy action because i open the button alot. actually i dont know what he was thinking.

owch!
had one of those weekends. lost like every pot, reraised every time i bluff, snap fold every time i have the nuts etc etc. here is my month graph now lol! and yes i was playing 100NL RUSH :(

ok enough whining. i had ONE cool hand even tho i lost it. this dude check raises me on the flop instead of cbettting multiway. so i think he has Ax like 90% of the time with the flush draw obviously. i plan to raise all in on the turn as long as no diamond comes and ill b a favourite. A comes on the turn which is odd case i thought he had it. but i think im more likely to hav a big diamond here than him so ill bluff it. really its hard for me to have the K high flush here and he made a good call! i learnt a good lesson in this hand. even tho i knew he was on a bluff on the flop i have to remember to think about what my hand looks like cause even a bluff can bluff catch if its obvious.... oh and bet bigger on the flop, i dont know why i bet so small now that i relook at it

posting my garp
just to make joel feel special im doing a blog on how the months going. i played barley any 200nl but alot of rush after work. been grinding a solid winrate tho. months graph so far:
it may look like a lot of hands but its only 17 hours. just noticed im 11/12 sessions with a profit. lol run good....

i was sure aksy had a set so didnt mind shoving over the fishes re-reraise with so much money in there. wish i had been deeper
heres an example of a bad reg which infests 50NL rush. sitting deep and he 3bets me oop with a 2% 3bet stat. yea im set mining cause he has QQ+ nearly always. of course he stacks off on the driest board ever:
wen ppl say 50nl regs r bad, they mean like this. they dont spew with crazy bluffs. the play super tight and standard but never fold. i love these ppl. stuck on the level where they prob think about what i have, but dont think about that i know they r uber tight.
welly champs at the casino this weekend. will be looking to hit up all 3 tornys. first one is $370 donk fest. $550 on sat and a deep $750 on sunday. if only i was good at tornys i might be excited.

Sunday Home Game
had a good day playing live poker on sunday. i wasnt guna go cause i was planning to grind online for a whole day but tim needed me to get 6ppl so i went which was ok cause i was -800 in ev by that point and was probly tilting. anyway luke wasnt there for ages and it was under 6 handed so i could play pretty loose. had some sweet hands.
first big hand chewy limps utg along with one other (5-6 handed), i raise 50c to $3.50 with KQ and just chewy calls. A55 and i cbet, he raises so i think he full of shit obviously cause he cant have a good Ace and i doubt he calls $3 with 56s or something like that. so i thought he had like 44 or something and was doing a bad bluff. feeling heated up by my incredible read i go all in not realising he has bout $70 left. he calls with Q5s lol! i guess i cant really put him on crap liek that but i should have raised to $30 then i could have folded if he called.
next mint hand was 2 hands later and i have a fresh 100 stack. time raises a limper and i call with KTs from the sb. 3 way to a Txx flop and tim cbets so i call. turn brings a J with a flush draw and he bets again. i think i have a tell although its not completely proven but anyway he did it here wen he bet $27 so i called again. blank on the river but brings b/d flush so it xxTJx 3 clubs and he goes all in for 60-70 dollars more (about pot). i tank for way too long lol. after wat seems like forever i make the call. i would be very surprised if he has AA KK here (he plays too weak on the river to value bet them like this he would bet small afraid of TJ or a set) and my range looks weak so he would surely bet less. i think he can only have TT JJ or AK/AQ of clubs to play this strongly and maybe he jsut isnt thinking im weak and is shoving hoping to get called. but that is such a narrow range i think he is making a play so thats y i called. he had AKo for A high and i scoope a big one with second pair 200bbs lol owned.

big red made his usual suicide play after i get QQ and there was a straddle on and i have the button so i prob look to be stealing. shoves me with T6.
shick trys to make a play at me. he does notice wen ur 3betting alot and plays back but he seems to do it at stupid times or calls ur 3bet w bad hands and just burns money. in this hand i 3bet a junkey bb hand wen he opens from cutoff and sb had called. he calls me and flop is K8x. i cbet and he raises me. now here he is representing a set or AA cause the K is obv hitting me hard. he would reraise AK cause he was clearly annoyed at my 3bets by this point. so i shove him and he insta folds and makes the classic "now i know where i stand in the hand" comment. i show him my air cause i want him to try again.
he trys again a bit later on. i have JJ and 3bet him from the button. him and luke call. QJx i cbet both call. luke has to have a draw to overcall like that cause shick is pretty tight so i doubt he calls thinking his hand is better than both of ours but not good enough to raise. ie only one hand in AQ would play it like that. so anyway turn is a super blank and i bet kinda big to commit shick to going all in or folding. he goes all in which forces out luke luckily. i dont see his hand but was prob AQ AJ or something. luke would have stacked me on the river. luke cries cause im a nit and get payed of like that but he didnt see that i was playing super agressive b4 he got there. i cant play like that with luke there is is the only person who plays back well. i really love the quote from that blog i posted the other day "play just crazy enough to make ppl think ur a maniac". im obviously kinda tight but i 3bet the button often, always try steal if there is a double straddle, show down 72 all the time etc... ppl just remember that and forget that i 99% have the best hand wen they call my 3 barals. only luke seems to get what im doing but he calls me down alot too :)

another big hand involving luke i think i 3bet him on the button w AK and marco called in bb, luke then 4bets and we both have huge stacks so i didnt really wana 5bet. so i called hoping marco comes along and i spike an A or K + i think luke will give up his bluffs quite often. marco then shoves and luke folds. its obvious marco has a pair like JJ or down or AK aswell so i call his $80 shove after ive invested $20. we run it twice but i lose both to TT. i like that me and luke have such an agro image going that ppl r fine to shove over us 3betting and 4betting with TT 200bb deep. chewy tryed to trap us once, i 3bet w 72 and chewy cold calls w KK, luke 4bets me but quite small and i just gave up my 72 this time cause i didnt wana call w chewy behind and i thought he might hav 4bet small to induce a bluff. turns out chewy calls and has KK hits a set wins moneys etc.
ok thats enough typing. +200 for the day but most importantly caught hands verse luke :D then went to watch the ufc119 and it was one of the best ones ive watched where anderson silva takes a beating for 5 rounds then wins with a triangle choke in the last 30 seconds. everyone went nuts. had a box seat at the all blacks on sat night through some customers which also ruled. pity i didnt drop in at the casino after cause aparently ma'a nonu went to play poker and was a huge whale at the 5/5 game! did finish sat night off at a quiet party instead + watched the warriors win again to stay in the top 8. oh and fri night had an old skool call of duty lan which was alot of fun. so in summary i had an amazing weekend but barley any online poker was played :(

i won about 6 hands with 72 by 3betting or just baraling and lost once where i think chewy had top set. one hand i 3bet someone and marco calls, luke 4bets and i think he is full of shit as usual but just call cause i think it will look stronger than a raise like i have JJ QQ or something. marco calls aswell though and the flop is Qxx. i check so does marco and luke has clearly given up the hand. i bet a 7 turn now hoping to steal it and i prob have the best hand cause i hit a pair lol. marco calls and i think he has a descent hand so im guna give up cause marco doesnt like folding, luke folds. river brings another 7 so i bet big like $40 and marco calls with AQ verse my trip 7s $110 pot with 72 so juicey.
big red made his usual suicide play after i get QQ and there was a straddle on and i have the button so i prob look to be stealing. shoves me with T6.
shick trys to make a play at me. he does notice wen ur 3betting alot and plays back but he seems to do it at stupid times or calls ur 3bet w bad hands and just burns money. in this hand i 3bet a junkey bb hand wen he opens from cutoff and sb had called. he calls me and flop is K8x. i cbet and he raises me. now here he is representing a set or AA cause the K is obv hitting me hard. he would reraise AK cause he was clearly annoyed at my 3bets by this point. so i shove him and he insta folds and makes the classic "now i know where i stand in the hand" comment. i show him my air cause i want him to try again.
he trys again a bit later on. i have JJ and 3bet him from the button. him and luke call. QJx i cbet both call. luke has to have a draw to overcall like that cause shick is pretty tight so i doubt he calls thinking his hand is better than both of ours but not good enough to raise. ie only one hand in AQ would play it like that. so anyway turn is a super blank and i bet kinda big to commit shick to going all in or folding. he goes all in which forces out luke luckily. i dont see his hand but was prob AQ AJ or something. luke would have stacked me on the river. luke cries cause im a nit and get payed of like that but he didnt see that i was playing super agressive b4 he got there. i cant play like that with luke there is is the only person who plays back well. i really love the quote from that blog i posted the other day "play just crazy enough to make ppl think ur a maniac". im obviously kinda tight but i 3bet the button often, always try steal if there is a double straddle, show down 72 all the time etc... ppl just remember that and forget that i 99% have the best hand wen they call my 3 barals. only luke seems to get what im doing but he calls me down alot too :)
another biggish hand i had verse luke. i open utg 8 handed or so and he 3bets after marco and chewy had called. i quickly 4bet to try look bluffy and cause luke knows im ment to look strong raising utg so could easily try a 4bet bluff here. he calls and c-raises all in on QTx. this was actually pretty gay cause i thought he had slow played his AA or had called the 4bet w QQ so i didnt really like it but called. i think he had AQ but i held.
another big hand involving luke i think i 3bet him on the button w AK and marco called in bb, luke then 4bets and we both have huge stacks so i didnt really wana 5bet. so i called hoping marco comes along and i spike an A or K + i think luke will give up his bluffs quite often. marco then shoves and luke folds. its obvious marco has a pair like JJ or down or AK aswell so i call his $80 shove after ive invested $20. we run it twice but i lose both to TT. i like that me and luke have such an agro image going that ppl r fine to shove over us 3betting and 4betting with TT 200bb deep. chewy tryed to trap us once, i 3bet w 72 and chewy cold calls w KK, luke 4bets me but quite small and i just gave up my 72 this time cause i didnt wana call w chewy behind and i thought he might hav 4bet small to induce a bluff. turns out chewy calls and has KK hits a set wins moneys etc.
ok thats enough typing. +200 for the day but most importantly caught hands verse luke :D then went to watch the ufc119 and it was one of the best ones ive watched where anderson silva takes a beating for 5 rounds then wins with a triangle choke in the last 30 seconds. everyone went nuts. had a box seat at the all blacks on sat night through some customers which also ruled. pity i didnt drop in at the casino after cause aparently ma'a nonu went to play poker and was a huge whale at the 5/5 game! did finish sat night off at a quiet party instead + watched the warriors win again to stay in the top 8. oh and fri night had an old skool call of duty lan which was alot of fun. so in summary i had an amazing weekend but barley any online poker was played :(
