200 NL jump

so 200NL doesnt seem too much different to 100NL. just even more 3betting and everyone is a notch more agressive. I played 10k hands and finished up 1.5 buyins which im pretty happy with. worst thing about a move up is overadjusting and losing tonnes of money playing stupid. coolest thing is the mad rakeback. i was only playing 6 tables on average and pulled in about NZ$25 per hour. so in total i think i pulled in around $300 rake. yes that means full tilt made $1100 of rake of me this weekend! one thing different was the regs are plain better at owning fish. this means fish only last a few minutes until they are stacked so it takes alot of shuffling to keep finding games.

here are 3 fun hands:

the worst value bet/bluff catch ive ever seen.

the best value shove. ok i was just hoping hed fold his bluffs but this is worked out just fine.

im not sure what happens here but its against a reg. i think i play it so much like a Jack he turns his AA into a bluff to rep the King...

Tilt: $8387 (+$350)
Stars: $234
Total: US$8971

Live: NZ$1260* edit PS omaha torny

  1. I railed you for a bit, but you kept moving tables.

Is the aggressvness @ NL200 good for you? what your stats looking like?

That last hand is very bizarre, is there a reason hes not 4 betting that?

  2. i had to move tables constantly cause the fish got stacked so fast then its just 5 regs 3betting each other. way harder to find fish too.

i think he doesnt 4bet to either keep the 3rd player in who may have been a fish, or its so likely im bluffing with a squeeze here he wants to get me to c-bet or stack off on the flop.

the agressiveness is a bit crazy, my red line has dropped i guess im losing too many pots to floats and 3bets and stuff. i know im not value betting thin enough cause im a little scared of the money still until im used to it i guess.

my stats are pretty much the same 19/16 with a 6% 3bet. i started off looser but got 3bet too much. nearly all my 4bets aare bluffs or AK, and i just slowplay AA KK. its fun lol

  3. Yeah I guess NL100 to NL200 is quite a big step. I thought your tightness would be good for the aggressive NL200. Or you reakon if you were any tighter they would just fold when you entered a pot?

I found the same thing the other night, I find im still a bit hesitant at the casino to make some mad value bets and stuff, if I had another 2K my bankroll I would be alot more comfortable. I think I need to play there more tho.

  4. Though I don't really play seriously anymore, and even when I did I wasn't anywhere close to your caliber of play, I've had a good time watching the two of you move up through the ranks, and the casino/home game reports are always a good read.

    Thanks for the content.

  6. You know what funny, "i just slowplay AA KK" I remember when you hated me slowplaying AA and KK. I guess it works better at NL200.

Not 2 be a hater, but Im going to enjoy watching a minor downswing in terms of EV!!
